Innovative prowess and eye-catching design were the highlights of the Eczacıbaşı Building Products Division’s exhibition of new VitrA and Burgbad branded products at 2013 ISH Frankfurt, which took place between 12-16 March 2013. VitrA’s stand, created by the French designer Christophe Pillet, featured new products with simple, functional and accessible designs, smart solutions and new material and surface technologies. Burgbad’s stand, designed by Bottega+Ehrhardt Architects, presented visitors with the fruits of a design approach that aims to transform bathrooms into warm and intimate living spaces.
This is the 15th year that VitrA is participating in this fair, one of the world’s largest in the area of bathrooms. Each of the products on display in VitrA’s stand was designed with the needs of a specific target group in mind. The Memoria series by Pillet and new Istanbul series by Lovegrove use VitrA’s patented Infinit technology to produce the narrow, sharp lines required by architectural styles. Nest, a functional and accessible bathroom series for families designed by Pentagon, incorporates the simple but functional lines of Scandinavian tastes enriched by complementary accessories, such as a step stool for children and laundry basket. The Metropole series of ceramic sanitary ware distinguishes itself with products that combine hygiene, style and comfort through smart design.

VitrA’s new WC pan has a small chamber for holding cleaning liquid that automatically releases a small amount with every flush. The WC pan is also designed with flat sides and no indentations for installation fasteners, making it easier to clean and maintain. *Shower cabins that fold inwards to create more space in small bathrooms...
Infinit by VitrA brings cast mineral technology to a sector that started out with ceramic, introduced acrylic to bathrooms and porcelain to tiles, and today continues to search for new materials. Infinit makes it possible to completely change the look of washbasins. It eliminates curves and makes it possible to produce sharper lines and narrower corners. Infinit is also easy to clean and, if necessary, to repair. A special process keeps the washbasins as white and shiny as the first day of use. Available in a variety of colors, the series caters to people who want bathrooms to make a fashion statement.
VitrA’s digital applications also drew visitors to its stand, drawing their attention to VitrA’s competency in this area. New applications included VitrA SHARE, an award-winning application that enables visitors to share their favorite products instantly on Facebook and Twitter, VitrA Elements, an interactive 3D application that enables users to redesign the Memoria washbasin designed by Pillet, and VitrA Innovation Area Mapping, located on the basement floor allowed visitors to see VitrA’s innovative products from the stand’s second floor.
Burgbad exhibited new collections at ISH Frankfurt that demonstrated why it is one of Germany’s select “Brands of the Century”. Burgbad’s new collections transform bathrooms into expressions of individual tastes and enjoyable spaces for spending time. One of these is the popular rc40 modular bathroom furniture series, which Burgbad newly redesigned to bring fresh life to bathrooms through creativity, functionality and comfort. Another is Conceptwall, a modular bathroom furniture system reflecting Burgbad’s innovative architectural approach that transforms bathrooms into stylish and intimate living spaces. A third is the Cala series, which uses ergonomic structures to turn bathrooms into “comfort spaces” and cast mineral technology to create rounded corners, fluid inner surfaces and soft curves.
